Passover- Pesach is coming! The first seder is Friday, March 30.

Are you ready?
This year, the blog presents some resources for you, the reader, as you prepare to explore, teach and celebrate this holiday to offer additional dimensions in your exploration of Passover and the different traditions to accompany its celebration.
We hope that these resources will inspire you to consider new avenues of discussion to connect our collective past to present world conditions with an eye toward affecting positive change to improve tomorrow.

Thankfully, many wonderful resources exist to help educators, students and families explore and learn about this holiday and the many different traditions that accompany the celebration. So if you are looking for resources to use with your children, please check out the entire collection on the Passover Resource Page):

The Religious Action Center's Passover Guide
This collection of materials highlights and explores Passover and the connection between some of today's plagues and highlights the pursuit of justice in this holiday's tradition. Resources address racial justice, the refugee crisis, environmental justice, modern slaver, LGBTQ rights, hunger, peace, labor, conflict minerals, malaria, women's rights, and social justice.

Dayeinu with a social justice twist:

This version of the song comes from the American Jewish World Service, which also provides a collection of Haggadah supplements and seder readings that relate to the pursuit of global justice here.

The Anonymous HAggadah
This resource was designed by JACS (Jewish Alcoholics, Chemically Dependent Persons and Significant Others). It recognizes the similarities between the path to freedom for the enslaved Israelites and those seeing recovery using a 12 step approach and can be a useful resources for those with a personal connection to recovery programs or to help people who are unfamiliar with twelve step programs better understand individuals who are.

Make Your Own Haggadah
No matter the cause you choose to support or the people at your celebration, this site provides a platform that will allow you to customize the way you enjoy your seder.

The internet has many, many video clips to offer that offer 'edu-tainment' to all of us who roam youtube. Here is a collection of some of my favorites.

No matter what you do, I hope it is meaningful, memorable, and wonderful.
Chag Sameach!
