 Verse 1:
Even in the darkest times
When it seems so hard to remind
Myself that winter never stays

Lift my eyes when it’s not right
Running from the dark of night
I know you’ll bring light into my life

Chorus: (2xs)
A new light
And Zion shines so bright
You’re the one who can ignite*
Thanks for lighting up our lives

Or Chadash Al Tzion Ta’ir
Yotzer Ha’m’orot**

Verse 2:
I lift my weary head some days
To open up my mouth and say
mereses ramos estas los compreses”***

We know we got to do what’s right
So we can merit this great light****
Won’t you bring us light into our lives

Chorus:

Bridge
v’nizkeh chulanu m’herah l’oro*****
V’nizkeh chulanu m’herah l’oro

Rap
In every generation gotta reach for the sun
Never give up on the work to be done
Dig your heels in deep, keep your head held high
Make a blessing on the earth, lift it up to the sky
We need truth in the east, justice in the west
Spread out the peace and the wealth…take a rest
Yesterday, tomorrow and beyond
Shine a new light, sing a new song
